Battle in the City of Roses
Arcane Games and Events will host Battle Hardened Los Angeles and the AGE Open Series Tournament for Flesh and Blood at the Pasadena Convention Center on June 24-25, 2023.
Enjoy an exciting weekend of intense battles and games for Flesh and Blood enthusiasts in the heart of Pasadena.
The Schedule
This weekend, we have a double-header schedule with Battle Hardened Los Angeles on Saturday, June 24th, and the June AGE Open on Sunday, June 25th. The AGE Open features a $2k prize pool.
Both events will be capped at 150 players per event.
Battle Hardened: Los Angeles

- 9.45am - Player meeting.
- 10.00am - Pairings posted for round 1 of Swiss. Deck lists collected from players after they have been seated for round 1.
- 5:15pm - At the conclusion of the final round of Swiss, there will be a cut to the Top 8 players who will progress to a Top 8 single elimination playoff.
- 9:00pm - Prize ceremony at the conclusion of the Top 8 playoffs.

Super Armory
After round 3 of the Battle Hardened, we will kick off a Super Armory. Normally, an Armory Kit is provided to stores to support a full month of in-store events, but at a Super Armory, the full contents of a kit are used for one single event, meaning that all Top 8 players get prizes, instead of just the winner! The prizes for this event include Cold Foil Promos and official Flesh and Blood playmats.

Decklists
Decklist required and will be collected during the players meeting.
Blank deck sheets will be provided at the venue, and can also be printed here.
SWISS ROUNDS
- Swiss rounds are best-of-one.
- Swiss rounds are 50 + 5 minutes in duration. (50 + 5 means there are 5 minutes allocated for the start of game procedure. Players must have presented their deck and revealed their equipment and weapons within this 5 minute window. If both players complete the start of game procedure in less than 5 minutes, they may begin playing their match immediately.)
TOP 8
- Top 8 playoffs are single elimination, best-of-one matches.
- Top 8 matches have no time limit. Players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and Slow Play penalties will be enforced.
- For each Top 8 match, the player that finished higher in the Swiss portion of the event chooses to play first or second.
DECKS
- Decks must be Constructed legal as defined by the Card Legality Policy.
- Players may not change their registered deck during the tournament.
- Deck checks will be conducted by event staff throughout the tournament.
- It is the responsibility of each player to ensure there are no distinguishing marks or patterns on their cards or card sleeves for the duration of the tournament. Vendors will be onsite to purchase sleeves if required.
Battle Hardened Los Angeles
Battle Hardened LA will be held at the prestigious Pasadena Convention Center, situated in the heart of the vibrant city of Pasadena. This bustling location is known for its rich culture and lively atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to host Battle Hardened Los Angeles and the AGE Open Series.

Parking
The Pasadena Convention Center offers several parking options. The Paseo at Marengo and Arroyo Parkway parking lot is recommended due to its affordable price range of $6-$8. However, if you prefer to park closer to the convention center, you may use the parking lot located south of the convention center, which costs $15.
Airports
The Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is the nearest airport to the Pasadena Convention Center and the most convenient option for travelers. While Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is also a feasible choice, it is located farther away and may require the use of a rideshare app or car rental to reach the convention center.
Where to Eat
Pasadena's dining scene is one of California's most exciting culinary destinations, with over 600 restaurants, more per capita than New York City, representing nearly every cuisine category.
Across the street from the convention center is the Paseo, an open-air shopping center with a large promenade surrounded by retailers and restaurants. It's a great place to grab dinner after a long day.
A short ten-minute walk will bring you to Old Town Pasadena, which boasts over 100 restaurants within its 22 historic blocks. From upscale, chef-driven hot spots to bistros, cozy cafes, and various snacks, desserts, and refreshing drinks, there's something for everyone. Transportation Options
METRO GOLD LINE
The Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station or Del Mar Station is 0.4 miles away and takes approximately ten minutes to walk to.
RIDESHARE APPS
Uber and Lyft offer on-demand rideshare and black car services throughout Pasadena and Los Angeles. The service is available 24/7 through a smartphone app.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE 210 WESTBOUND
Take the 210 freeway west to the Fair Oaks/Marengo exit. Turn left on Marengo and proceed four blocks to Green Street. Turn left onto Green Street, and the Pasadena Convention Center is located on the right-hand side at 300 E. Green.
FROM THE 210 EASTBOUND
Take the 210 freeway east to the Colorado Blvd. exit 25A (on the left). Keep right toward Colorado Blvd. Turn left on West Walnut, then turn right onto Marengo and proceed four blocks to Green Street. Turn left onto Green Street, and the Pasadena Convention Center is located on the right-hand side at 300 E. Green.
FROM THE 134 EASTBOUND
Take the 134 east to the 210 east and exit at Fair Oaks/Marengo. Follow Corson to Marengo Ave. Turn right on Marengo, proceed four blocks to Green Street, and turn left onto Green Street. The Pasadena Convention Center is located on the right-hand side at 300 E. Green.
FROM THE 110 NORTHBOUND
Take the 110 freeway north to the end of the highway, proceed north on Arroyo Parkway, and then turn right onto Green Street. The Pasadena Convention Center is located two blocks down on the right-hand side at 300 E. Green.
